Some of my favorite things. Part I

So I decided that I would put up a little something about me and the things that I like, I thought maybe everyone could do that, and then we will be able to know a little bit more about each other and see things that we might not see every day, and reminisce about the old time! ;-) So here are a few of my favorite old things!! So first part will be cartoon or video that I use to watch or to sing along!! Mind you it is in French... since after all I was raised over there!!

Chapi Chapo, I use to love those little dude when I was a little girl in France! I am pretty sure it never got to the States so here is a little preview! Enjoy!!

Here are a few classic of the Disney mania!! Enjoy.. I bet you never listened to those in French!

Another one of the cartoon that was super popular in the young girl age: Candy, kind of like Anne of the Green Gables but only she stayed orphan! AH!! Life suck with the french! oh and this was part of the First generation of the Manga cartoon!! Loved it!!

When I was 18, I went back to the regular High school after graduating from my "professional high school" and took Music as a "major" our teacher introduced us to Mozart and his opera. Since that time I love listening to Opera, here is an exemple of my favorite one: The Nozze di Figaro from Mozart! And also one of my favorite Opera singer: Cecilia Bartoli

This one was one of the song that I use to love. It is from a very old time, but I still love to listen to him every time I go back to my mother!!

Et voila... More later!!

Jonas Brothers 3D movie or how to teach your daughter to be a screaming Fan!

So, Morgane is turning 11 this coming Tuesday. On the 3rd of March. One of the ideas that I had to celebrate her birthday was to get her to go see the movie of the concert of the “Jonas Brothers” yeah you read me right, MY idea!! Well she is a big fan, has the CD and listens to the song on the radio, has seen all of the movies with them in it, and sings the song on top of her lungs!!
So I thought, since she is such a big fan, I’ll get her to go see the movie!
OMG!! What was I thinking!! First, let me tell you, every ticket for a 1h40mn show was $15/pers… Oh yeah you read right, $15 how Freaking sick is that??? Then of course you have to have Popcorn and the COKE with it, right?? OMG!!! Another $22!! WTH!!! What was I thinking?? I swear I am taking that out of her gift spending money!! ;-)
OK, so I guess now that I got you thinking, you must be asking yourself: How was it!!
Well not that bad, I was expecting some crap, but I guess those 3 kids can rock after all!! They can also get thousands of girls SCREAMING!!! I told Morgane that if she ever did that in my presence, I will slap her craziness out!! I don’t know how those girls that actually went to the concert could have had come out of it with a voice!! They were just so loud!! I can only think of what those guys on the stage are thinking?? They must be like: Oh Hell I am so glad I have those ear plugs on right now!! J
So for those of you, who are thinking to go see it with your dear daughters, prepare yourself and don’t go if you have a headache!! That’s my point of view. Still those kids aren’t that bad!!
So Enjoy some quality time with your daughters/sons!! And remind them not to lose their voice over it!

the truth behind Lent!

For those of you who know me, you know that I am always interested about the reason behind “organized religion”. Needless to say that when I read this morning a little blog titled: “what is lent?” I thought I will give it a read! AH!! Oh well, I thought! So I went onto a little research about what was the truth behind lent.
I do believe that most religion help people, but I also believe that some of the most religious people that I have met are a little too… narrow minded about their faith and where their faith came from. I respect the fact that prayers and worshiping help some of their follower, I respect the fact that it seem that for some going to church and being surrounded with other believer help them to better themselves one way or another. What I also believe is that some “believer” doesn’t accept other faith because they don’t understand them or for that matter don’t want to understand them! I do believe that some of those believers will have an idea of who you are just because you don’t follow their faith and their church celebration or guideline!
To me, I’d rather stay home and pray when I pray, and not when someone tells me to pray!
I’d rather explain to my children that every religion has its good and bad side and that it is in the eye of the follower that sometime it gets into bad! One of my beliefs is that you need to be true to yourself and believe in yourself before trying to believe in manmade rules, there is enough rules in life to follow for me, then following religious one! But this is what I think.
So while I was doing a little research about the real reason behind Lent, I came upon that web site and I thought it was kind of interesting.
So for those who want to read on, go ahead. And for those of you who don’t want to! It is OK too!!

Enjoy!! And happy Lent season for those of you who are doing it! It is a challenge in life!! Good luck!

Bag Tag

I saw this morning a post on: http://jordanandcaseyclark.blogspot.com/ about a bag tag, and I thought it was kind of funny. So I am going to do it. I will even share 2 bags, because I went purse shopping today and just changed bag, so I am being honest about my purses! ;-)
So here are the rules:
1. Post a picture of the bag/purse/handbag/pocketbook {whatever you call it!} that you are carrying! Now, don't you even think about going back there to your closet and getting that cute little clutch that you carried before you had children or the last time you went out ;-) the rule is to see the purse that you carried today!
2. Tell us how much it cost! I know we are not suppose to tell everyone how much we spend on such frivolities but... it is for the fun of it, so we won't judge just tell us!!
And if there is a story that goes along with this purse, tell it!!
3. Tag some of your girls. It will be fun to see the different style of everyone!
So here are my purse(s) since I just changed!! ;-)

This is my "old" purse. I felt like color. I was wanted a nice turquoise bright color but didn't find the color with the shape that I wanted for the price that I was OK to pay for! (Oh by the by this purse was on sale in Target about.... 1 year ago (or more) and I paid less than $10 for it!) It is still in fairly good shape, BUT the handles are starting to show distress signs! ;-(
This is my “new” purse!! WHOHOO!!! I love it!! I was kinda hoping for a brighter turquoise but… I like the shape so I told myself after looking and looking all over that for the price, I could just take it, and search for the “perfect” shade of blue and the perfect shape too! Later!! Price: $11.95!! Yes you read right!! Only that!! Kohls clearance rack, thank you very much!! So happy… I love bargain!!

Inside of the purse… Feel free to OOHH and AHH the fact that this is an “organized” purse!! Mind those of you who know me, it is the only thing in my life that looks like that, right? ;-)

So what is inside you are asking…
Well here is the list:
Trident Splash Strawberry Lime… My favorite!
Wallets too many, going from the left to the right:
the red one is the one with my cash and CC that I use the most.
The light brown is just a little pocket with Zipper that I put my coupons and receipt if any!
another CC holder, which holds all the store cards or Insurance card!
Next is another little zip wallet where I put my stamps and pictures
Then coin purse
And the two last are my check books. Yeah I know… 2 banks!! ;-)
Sunglasses, a MUST right now with the snow on the ground I need them.
My name tag from work
Pens, MP3 player, USB card, Camera card, Nail clipper, my little med box (from Firenze) Twizzer and toothpick and of course chapstick! OH and I couldn’t even go ANYWHERE without it, my handy dandy: MotoQ or like I call it: my other Brain!

Pain in news

So some of you might have realized that I haven’t blogged lately! Well the reason is simple! I had a major surgery on the 30th of January for a Breast reduction!! So the few weeks before I was trying to get my life a little organized because I knew that I wouldn’t be able to do anything for a while right!
AH!! It has been over 10 days since the surgery and I still don’t do anything. I thought I will take it like a brave woman that I am and be on my two feet within day right! Well not right!! I am in pain… Like PAINFUL pain!! Like lots of NEEDLES thrown at me pain!! Anyway, not that I am complaining since my boobs are now much smaller and my back isn’t hurting anymore! So it is good, my mother always use to say that there was no beauty with any pain! Well I guess I am going to be BEAUTIFUL for the bikini season! ;-) Sorry for those of you who are curious, but I will NOT put any pictures of my new and improve silhouette!
Well I hope that I will be able to post more often and tell you stuff that are happening in our life!
